Wow, is it possible for Fernando Alonso might actually show his world champ skills this weekend at Indy? Could it happen?
BMW Saubers Robert Kubica (thankfully will make a full recovery, even if he is not in the Indy race this weekend) stand-in, Sebastian Vettel took it to McLaren! Splitting McLarens best times of Fernando and Lewis Hamilton to be in the No. 2 spot during Saturday practice. Only practice, but still. Great job! Amazing for a whopping 19 year old. Defiantly a young young face in F1.
How about the 20 - 22 seconds of full out throttle on the straight stretch? Dang, Indy is not listed as the single F1 circuit for longest full throttle for nothing, with top speeds reaching in the 330kmh range for practice. Wait until Sunday… 19k revs of an F1 engine, the only thing better than good ole muscle car rumble IMO!
This should be a great race on Sunday.
Fernando was screaming on a dirty track… almost breaking track records on just a practice day. Hmm, and I thought Fernando didn’t like Indy.
