So Hamilton gets pole at home! But I have to admit that qualifying was rather boring and I expected Hamilton to be pushing more in qualifying. At least Kimi brought Ferrari to the front row. I expected it to be nothing but McLaren in the front row. I wonder if the home town was too much for Hamilton.
Ferrari gets a bad start. So Massa stalls on the starting grid. Ooops… to pit lane for you. So that put Lewis and Kimi right on his tail from the start. I think Hamilton was maybe a little edgy being home. Only had to look at the first pit for him and he lurching with the lolly flipped and he lurched still with the fueling hose.
Scott, broken suspension this time… oh, when does it just go right for them?
So Alonso gets the extra points over Hamilton. Not to mention that Hamilton only gets 3rd at home. That must of hurt. Alonso was a little outspoken about catching up with Lewis on points from here on out. One thing to note is the Lewis has been on 9 podiums out of 9 races. That is a good trend for a noob this year huh.

Ralf Schumacher has agreed to slash his annual salary if it means he can keep his seat at Toyota in 2008.
The German, who has failed to live up to his reported $22m retainer for 2007 season, has offered to drive for under $5mil for the 2008 season.
His income could include a whopping bonus of $340k per point in 2008, but only if Toyota accepts the offer made.
Ralf really needs to stop driving Toyota into the dump. He has influenced the build and development of this car with Toyota and apparently that has not been in the right direction. He can’t be the entire blame and neither is Toyota… but this is just a bad match regardless of what his wife says. She also needs to stop trying to say BMW and Toyota is the same game for the Jr Schu… he is not Sr Schu!

Oh Chis over at chris.pirillo.com has done it again. He desribes his account of being stopped at airport security checkpoint… read on to see how we have made the US so much safer since 911!
So, I’m passing through the security checkpoint at the mouse fart of an airport in San Jose, CA (coming back from a rather remarkable Under the Radar event)… TSA tells me that my carry-on bag would need to be inspected. I was a bit puzzled, but not shocked - as I decided to store all my electronics in the mini-whale and not check it at the ticket counter.
He tells me that I’m carrying liquid. I was?
I normally check my luggage, so I completely forgot about the small tube of toothpaste (which cost me $47.99 at the hotel mini-bar - a bargain at any price), my lip balm, and my freakin’ can of freakin’ antiperspirant / deodorant. What the freak? Are they freakin’ serious? Yeah, I know - these things should have been in a baggie, but…
Okay. This is how we stop terrorists. Seriously?
I’m just going to check my bag next time, as I should have done tonight (in the first place). The ten minutes I save by not having to wait for baggage to come around on the carousel is simply not worth the hassle of having to chuck products that could apparently take down an entire plane.
And to the guy who was unfortunate enough to sit next to me on the flight, I deeply apologize for all the garlic farts - Brandon was the one who suggested the Macaroni Grill for dinner. I would have popped a few butt mints (great idea - someone needs to fund it) but they were confiscated along with my collection of rare Commemorative Abe Vigoda snow globes (too much liquid, had to abandon at checkpoint).
I come home from the airport, unpack my suitcase, and guess what I find lying underneath all my dirty clothes? A pair of extremely sharp scissors.
I shit you not.
Oh this is just so wrong. I had a flash back of a “don’t run with scissors” episode. Get rid of the toothpaste, but keep the scissors. Great safety review. Maybe next time you should keep the plastic Glock next to the toothpaste.
